Donation Terms
These terms apply to every voluntary donation you make through the Zenara Jaya Mini Games platform. By submitting a donation you confirm you have read, understood, and accepted these terms. They form part of the Mini Games Terms of Use by reference.
Donations are voluntary gifts. You receive no goods, no services, no in-game advantage, no leaderboard preference, no priority queue access, no faster matchmaking, and no other benefit in exchange for donating. The "supporter" counter on your profile is cosmetic only. Donations are non-refundable once processed.
1. Nature of donations
A donation made through this Platform is a gratuitous, voluntary monetary contribution intended to help us cover hosting costs and continue building the Platform. It is not:
- a fee for any product, service, or licence;
- a purchase of in-game currency, items, ranks, skills, scarves, accessories, priority access, or any other in-game element;
- a wager, bet, or any form of gambling stake;
- a charitable donation eligible for tax deduction under Malaysian Income Tax Act 1967 section 44(6) (we are not a registered charity or tax-exempt body);
- an investment, equity, or any form of security.
Donating does not create a contract for goods or services between you and us, and does not entitle you to any specific game feature, balance change, content release, or response from us.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to make a donation. If you are under 18, do not donate; ask a parent or guardian to donate on their own behalf if they wish to support the Platform.
- You must be using a payment instrument (card, bank account, e-wallet) that belongs to you and which you are legally authorised to use.
- The donation must not violate any applicable law (including anti-money-laundering, sanctions, gambling, or consumer-credit laws) in your jurisdiction.
3. Currency & processing
Donations are denominated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). When real billing is enabled, payment will be processed by a third-party payment processor (e.g. Stripe, FPX, e-wallet provider) under their own terms. We do not store full card numbers or bank credentials; the processor handles those directly. The amount that reaches us is the donation amount less any payment-processor fees.
During development the donation buttons may be in simulated mode for testing, in which case no actual money is debited. The button copy will make this clear at the point of confirmation.
4. No refunds
Because a donation is a voluntary gift with no consideration in return, donations are strictly non-refundable once payment has been confirmed by the payment processor. The only exceptions are:
- Unauthorised use of your payment instrument (e.g. someone stole your card). You should report this to your bank and we will cooperate with any chargeback investigation.
- Technical failure on our side that resulted in a double-charge — submit a written request within 30 days of the duplicate transaction and we will refund the duplicate portion.
- Refunds required by applicable Malaysian law.
All other refund requests will be politely declined. By donating you waive the right to chargeback for "regret" or "did not receive any item" since you confirm here that no item was promised.
5. What we use donations for
Donations contribute to (in no particular order): server hosting, WebSocket multiplayer infrastructure, content delivery, domain renewal, third-party services, the cost of building new maps and games, and the developer's coffee budget. We do not commit to any specific use of any specific donation. We do not publish a public ledger of donations.
6. Public visibility & supporter acknowledgements
The Platform shows you a cumulative donation total ("supporter" counter) on your own profile only. We do not publish individual donation amounts, donor histories, or any ranking of donors by amount.
We may display a small cosmetic supporter badge or tier label (e.g. "🌱 Sapling", "🎍 Bamboo Friend", "👑 Valley Sovereign") next to your display name in the in-game lobby and roster, computed from your cumulative donation total. These badges are acknowledgements of past support, not items you have purchased. They confer no gameplay advantage, do not affect matchmaking, do not alter your character's stats, and do not unlock content that is unavailable to other Players. Every visual perk tied to a supporter tier is also earnable through normal gameplay (e.g. a number of wins, deliveries, or rescues). We may add, change, downgrade, or remove any supporter badge or visual perk at any time, with or without notice, and you have no claim against us for doing so.
We operate a public Supporters page at /supporters.html on which we may list supporters by first name only. Listing is strictly opt-in: your name will only appear there after you have explicitly enabled the toggle "List my first name on the public Supporters page" in your account profile. The default is OFF. You may remove yourself at any time by un-ticking the toggle; we will refresh the page within a reasonable period (no guarantee of real-time removal).
We do not share donor identities with third parties for marketing purposes and we will never publish a "top donors by amount" board, individual donation transactions, or any ranking that creates social pressure to give more.
7. Anti-fraud & abuse
If we detect that a donation is fraudulent, originates from a stolen instrument, or is associated with a pattern of chargeback abuse, we may:
- reverse or decline the transaction;
- suspend or terminate the associated Account;
- cooperate with payment processors, banks, and law-enforcement agencies in any subsequent investigation.
8. Liability
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with donations is capped at the total amount you actually donated in the 12 months preceding the claim. Subject to applicable Malaysian law, we exclude all indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Governing law
These donation terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sarawak, Malaysia, after a 30-day good-faith negotiation period.
